Letter from Pastor Tim,
Sunday morning Teaching Series in November
During the month of November, we are planning to have a 4-week teaching series on characters of the Bible. We are titling the series, “Learning from Life Stories.” There is so much we can learn about God as we consider the biographies of biblical characters. This Sunday, Pastor Andrew is going to be preaching from the life of David. The focus is going to be on the restoration and renewal of David after a season of darkness and sin in his life. David’s story reminds us that God can renovate a life where there is honest inward brokenness. I plan to preach the rest of the series during which we plan to look at the Old Testament character, Daniel, as a teen (November 9), and then as a senior adult (November 16). We also plan to look at the story of a courageous young woman named Esther (November 23) who lived humbly and courageously at a critical moment.

Worship and Prayer Night on Sunday, November 23
On Sunday evening, October 5, we had a worship and prayer night, and the Lord meaningfully
met with us that evening! We want to gather again for a time of praise and worship, leading into a prayer time in prayer circles in the worship center at Crossroads. We plan to meet at 6 PM on November 23. Once again, we are inviting Matt Hoage, a worship pastor who lives in Eau Claire, to return to lead us in worship songs, and then I plan to help facilitate the prayer time. I hope you can be with us for this special evening! We plan to look hard in God’s direction, bringing our praise, our confession, and our requests to Him. All things are possible for God, and no one loves us like He does. The Lord is moving in powerful ways in pockets around the world in answer to the concerted prayer of His people.
Children and Youth
I am grateful for our children’s ministries and our youth ministries at Crossroads. The Lord is at
work and both of these ministries are growing. Personally, I am grateful for Pastor Andrew
Brame and his leadership in our student ministry, and I am grateful for the faithful adult
volunteers who serve alongside him. The student ministry team is making an impact in the lives of students. Personally, I am also grateful for Danni Johnson and her team who are serving our children on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. That ministry is growing. While it is true that our children and students can shape the church of tomorrow, I want to affirm that they are a vital part of the church TODAY!! Let’s celebrate with thanks the ways the Lord is working in and through our children’s ministries our youth ministries.
